Origins

Hi there! My name is Nick and I'm the Founder and Formulator for Tucker Brook. I'm also a woodworker and artist for my other company Path and Oak and that's part of how I came to want to formulate better lightweight skincare products.

Working around wood and wood dust all day often leaves my skin dried out but most moisturizing products that I've tried leave me feeling like I'm covered in a residue, greasy, or perfumed. I’ve also talked with many people who only put on lotion when they absolutely must because applying and wearing it can feel like a chore. It felt clear to me that there's room for improvement in the world of unobtrusive skincare and I set out to make the best performing products for people who prefer to feel like they're not wearing any product at all. 

Tucker Brook's motto is “Skincare without Distractions” because I believe that taking care of your skin should be a joy, not a chore. I aim for a skin-feel as close to clean hydrated skin as I can and I feel that I’ve knocked it out of the park in this area. 

All formulations are developed in-house by me, no whitelabel or pre-made formulas. I make my products in small batches in my lab in Western Oregon according to FDA CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).

Tucker Brook's name comes from a small brook in rural Northern Vermont that was a place of exploration and adventure for me in my childhood.
